Being intolerant to dairy has meant we need alternatives. For years we have been drinking Soy, Rice & Coconut milk. Always open to trying new options we were recommended Almond milk. Looking at the ingredients list: water, sugar, almonds (2%) – we were of processed sugar on our cleanse so we had to look for an alternative. We search the internet for A LOT and came across this recipe for Raw Almond Milk
Raw Almond Milk
1 cup almonds
1 litre water
Pinch salt
1 tablespoon agave nectar
Soak almonds for at least 4 hours
In a high speed blender blend the almonds and water for approx 2 mins.
Add salt & agave nectar & blend again for approx 1 min.
Option to strain liquid through cheesecloth or fine sieve.
Chill in fridge & enjoy.
